Jenny Ritchie

Jenny Ritchie is the owner of Hotglass Designs based in the Gold Coast, Queensland and specialises in handcrafted kiln-formed glass, incorporating both contemporary and traditional designs. She has attended various overseas glass workshops facilitated by world-renowned glass artists which has inspired and enabled Jenny to develop her own style. Jenny’s fascination with the qualities of glass—namely, its clean, smooth, and crisp appearance—has fuelled her pursuance of the art of kiln-forming. She incorporates dichroic glass as accents in her jewellery and wares. Each piece of dichroic glass is carefully selected for texture, colour, and shape, before being individually hand-cut and carefully assembled, thus producing  awe-inspiring, unique pieces of wearable glass art. Her works are influenced by colours and designs present in nature, contributing to the uniqueness of the finished article. Each of Jenny’s creations are bold and colourful ‘one-offs’.
