Julie Holt

Growing up by the seaside and always being engaged in outdoor activities has given Julie Holt a love of Australian scenery, flora and fauna. This love and appreciation is conveyed and used as a common motif in her artworks. Julie primarily creates her designs in glass, working with Australian wildflowers, outdoor scenes and anything related to the ocean. She is always experimenting and learning different ways to utilise glass to create varying textures and appearances.

 

The Wildflower Collection portrays flowers in a somewhat realistic appearance, to elicit an appreciation of the beauty of natural Australian treasures. The fine detail in the pieces is a hallmark of Julie’s work. The versatility of glass and the vivid colours that can be fused into designs bring a sense of fun and joy to each piece.
